Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Travel the country with your lead inspector to provide aerial performance and structural testing and inspection
- Perform ground ladder and live line tool inspection and testing
- Type reports and communicate with lead inspector
- Communicate with customer while at the work site
- Assist lead inspector with aerial performance testing and structural inspection
- Approximate one year training program (Both on the job and online training)
Traveling Requirements:
- 100% (10 days traveling, 4 days off)
- Responsible for transportation to and from office
- Transportation provided from office to work sites
Qualifications and Personnel Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED (Required)
- Valid Driver’s License
- Non-Smoking or Vaping
- No criminal history
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Computer Literate (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to do basic technical math
Physical Requirements:
- Walking - 2 to 3 hours
- Standing - 6 to 8 hours
- Sitting/Driving - up to 10 hours (on long distance driving days)
- Climbing - Frequently
- Squatting/Stooping/Bending - Frequently
- Lifting - up to 50 lb - Frequently
- Lifting - up to 100 lb - Frequently
- Lifting - up to 200 lb - Occasionally with Assistance
Work Environment and Safety:
- Outdoor Environment – Normal exposure to the elements is expected. During extreme weather, work may be cancelled, or limited (such as moving work into bays).
- Work will be performed on heavy equipment
- Must wear proper PPE (Provided where necessary)
- Will be working around very high voltages (up to 100 kV) and must follow safety procedures
