Job Overview
We are seeking Brunch Cooks to join our culinary team at Toast: Comfort Kitchen & Bar. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and loves creating delicious breakfast and brunch dishes. As a Brunch Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals that delight our guests, ensuring food safety standards are met, and contributing to an energetic and welcoming dining atmosphere either executing menu items from the line or preparing large batch items for our Brunch Buffet. Your expertise in food preparation, and kitchen operations will be vital in delivering an exceptional brunch experience to our guests.
- Must be available to work Saturday and/or Sunday shifts from 7:00am to 3:00pm! Other shifts throughout the week are negotiable for those interested in additional hours.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of breakfast and brunch dishes with precision and maintaining standard consistency and presentation standards.
- Ensure all food handling, safety, and sanitation protocols are strictly followed to meet health regulations. Must have a Prep Cook level Food Handler Permit as required by the Lancaster County Health Department.
- Manage food prep stations efficiently, including chopping, assembling ingredients, and cooking components of dishes.
- Support the kitchen team during busy service times by maintaining a clean workstation and ensuring timely meal delivery and fresh items on the buffet line.
- Maintain inventory levels of ingredients, notify management of shortages, and assist with stock rotation to minimize waste.
Qualifications
- Strong background in food industry settings such as restaurants or catering environments preferred.
- Demonstrated skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, knife skills, and meal assembly.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures is essential.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently during peak hours.
- Must work well both independently and as a part of a team.
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
