For over 20 years, Café Natalie Catering has been an award-winning luxury catering and events brand known for elevated weddings, corporate galas, museum events, and large-scale productions. Based in Houston, we are now strategically expanding into the Dallas–Fort Worth market. We are seeking a Director of Sales & Business Development to establish, grow, and dominate our Dallas presence — building revenue pipelines, venue partnerships, corporate relationships, and long-term brand equity in a highly competitive hospitality market.
Position Overview
The Director of Sales & Business Development will lead all Dallas market revenue strategy, including new business acquisition, strategic partnerships, venue relationships, corporate accounts, and high-end wedding sales.
This role requires a strong “hunter” mentality combined with relationship-driven luxury sales experience. The ideal candidate understands how to sell high-touch, premium hospitality services and can convert brand positioning into measurable revenue growth.
Please note: We do not currently have a physical office in Dallas. This role will operate remotely (work-from-home) in the meantime while leading in-market sales efforts until a local office is established.
You will work directly with executive leadership to:
- Launch and grow the Dallas territory
- Build strategic partnerships with venues and planners
- Secure corporate contracts and repeat accounts
- Drive measurable revenue targets
- Establish Café Natalie as a top-tier luxury caterer in Dallas
Key Responsibilities
Market Launch & Strategy
- Develop and execute the Dallas market go-to-market strategy
- Identify and prioritize high-value venue and planner partnerships
- Create a 12–24 month revenue growth roadmap
- Analyze competitive landscape and pricing positioning
Business Development (Hunter Focus)
- Proactively source new corporate, social, nonprofit, and wedding clients
- Conduct in-person venue visits and networking meetings
- Attend industry events, bridal expos, chamber events, and hospitality functions
- Secure preferred vendor agreements with venues
Revenue & Pipeline Management
- Build and manage a strong pipeline in CRM
- Track sales KPIs including booked revenue, closing ratio, lead source performance
- Maintain high conversion rates from inquiry to contract
- Collaborate with marketing to optimize inbound lead generation
Relationship & Brand Development
- Build long-term relationships with event planners, venue directors, and corporate decision-makers
- Represent Café Natalie with polish and professionalism
- Position the brand as luxury, reliable, and operationally excellent
Leadership & Collaboration
- Work cross-functionally with culinary, operations, and executive teams
- Provide accurate forecasting to leadership
- Assist in hiring and mentoring future Dallas-based sales staff as the market grows
Qualifications
- 10+ years of sales experience in hospitality, luxury catering, event rentals or production, hotels, or high-end event services
- Proven success in business development and rveenue growth
- Experience working with venues, planners, and corporate clients in the Dallas market
- Strong negotiation and contract-closing skills
- Hunter mentality with relationship-building finesse
- Experience using CRM systems (HubSpot, Caterease preferred)
- Highly organized and performance-driven
- Local Dallas network strongly preferred
Compensation Structure
- Competitive Base Salary (DOE). $$90k ++. If you feel you are worth more, name your price.
