Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and welding symbols
Cut, fit, and weld pipe of various sizes and materials (carbon steel, stainless, etc.)
Perform TIG, MIG, and/or Stick welding on piping systems
Inspect welds to ensure structural soundness and compliance with specifications
Assemble and secure pipes, fittings, and related components according to layout plans
Maintain welding equipment and ensure it is in good working order
Follow all safety procedures, wear appropriate PPE, and comply with site safety rules
Work closely with pipefitters, supervisors, and QA/QC inspectors to ensure quality standards are met
Perform weld repairs as required and maintain documentation of work performed
Minimum 2–5 years of experience as an industrial or construction pipe welder
Proficiency in TIG, MIG, and Stick welding processes
Ability to pass a weld test (ASME / AWS / client-specific)
Experience working with carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy piping
Strong understanding of pipe fitting, beveling, and joint preparation
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and P&IDs
Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in varying environments
