Have you completed welding coursework but need more practical experience?
We are currently identifying qualified candidates for a customized welding skills training program designed to strengthen welding ability and prepare participants for potential employment opportunities with leading manufacturing companies throughout Upstate South Carolina.
You do not need to be an expert welder. We are looking for candidates who already have a basic foundation and are motivated to improve their skills and build a long-term career in manufacturing.
Candidates should have some combination of:
Basic or foundational welding experience
MIG welding, fabrication, metalworking, or related manufacturing experience
Ability to read basic measurements and use hand and power tools
Previous welding school, technical training, or hands-on welding experience
Strong attendance and reliability
Willingness to learn and receive additional training
Commitment to completing the training program
Interest in building a long-term welding or manufacturing career
Qualified candidates may have the opportunity to participate in customized welding skills training at no cost to the candidate.
Training may include:
Hands-on welding instruction
MIG welding skill development
Welding techniques and production processes
Fabrication fundamentals
Measurement and blueprint basics
Practical welding exercises
Skills aligned with the needs of participating manufacturing employers
Candidates who successfully complete the program may be considered for direct employment opportunities with participating manufacturing companies.

This is not simply an open welding class.
Candidates will be screened based on welding experience, aptitude, work history, reliability, attendance, and overall fit before being considered for the program.
Training participation and potential employment opportunities are dependent upon candidate qualifications, program availability, successful completion of training, and employer hiring requirements.

Pay Details: $30.00 to $40.00 per hour
