Overview
We're seeking an experienced remodeling designer / kitchen and bath designer who enjoys working directly with homeowners and creating practical, buildable designs.
The position is approximately 20 hours per week with a flexible schedule. Some work can be completed remotely, but regular client meetings and initial site visits are required.
Responsibilities
- Meet with homeowners to understand project goals and requirements
- Develop design concepts for kitchen, bathroom, and residential remodeling projects
- Create and revise plans using Chief Architect and 2020 Design
- Prepare floor plans, elevations, renderings, and cabinet layouts
- Assist clients with material, fixture, cabinet, and finish selections
- Incorporate client feedback and revisions throughout the design process
- Attend occasional client appointments
- Assist in sales efforts by presenting design proposals confidently and explaining the benefits of various remodeling options.
- Coordinate with the project development and construction teams
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience designing residential remodeling projects
- Proficiency with Chief Architect
- Experience using 2020 Design to create cabinet layouts
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
- Understanding of residential construction methods and remodeling practices
- Reliable transportation for occasional local meetings and site visits
Preferred: Qualifications:
- Kitchen and bath design experience
- Design-build remodeling experience
- NKBA certification or related design credentials
