Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide excellent customer service
- Operate cash register and process sales transactions accurately
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Answer customer inquiries and provide product information
- Upsell products and promote special offers or discounts
- Assist with inventory management and restocking shelves
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals
Experience:
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering preferred
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and providing accurate change
- Multilingual skills, particularly in Spanish, are a plus for communicating with diverse customers
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash registers is beneficial
- Knowledge of technical sales or specific product lines is an advantage
