GENERAL DUTIES:
- To prepare the play area for operation prior to the start of church.
- To greet parents and their children warmly during drop-off/registration time and assure proper paperwork has been completed for each child.
- To collaborate with volunteers and provide direction for activities.
- To plan an age-appropriate activity each week.
- To ensure the safety and proper supervision of school-aged children in accordance with the South Church Safe Church policy during faith formation programming.
REQUIREMENTS:
The Children’s Activity Coordinator must be at least 18 years of age and have a minimum of 3 years of successful prior child care experience (e.g. babysitter, nanny, daycare worker or parent). Current CPR/First Aid/ AED training is required and will be provided by South Church. Completion of the South Congregational Church “Safe Church” registration and interview process required. A background check must be successfully completed before hire.
