Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Drywall Finisher to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying finishing touches to drywall surfaces, ensuring smooth, seamless walls and ceilings that meet high-quality standards. Your expertise will contribute to the overall aesthetic and structural integrity of residential, commercial, or restoration projects. Responsibilities
- Finish drywall surfaces by applying mudding, taping, texturing, and sanding to create flawless walls and ceilings.
- Repair damaged drywall or existing finishes with skillful patching and refinishing techniques.
- Interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute drywall installation and finishing tasks.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for drywall installation, texturing, and repair work.
- Collaborate with carpenters, plumbers, electricians, and other trades to ensure proper integration of drywall within the overall construction process.
- Follow all construction workplace safety regulations and adhere strictly to safety protocols during all phases of work.
- Assist with metal stud framing, fixture installation, door hanging, and other related tasks as needed to support project completion.
Requirements
- Proven experience in drywall installation, finishing (mudding, taping, texturing), and repair within a construction environment.
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, and interpreting technical drawings or schematics.
- Familiarity with construction safety regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Ability to operate hand tools such as trowels, knives, sanders, as well as power tools including drills and spray equipment.
- Experience with related skills such as plastering, caulking, flooring installation, tile laying, masonry, or remodeling is a plus.
- Construction site experience demonstrating reliability in fast-paced environments with multiple trades working simultaneously.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with strong communication skills for effective teamwork.
