Duties
- Assist with food preparation and cooking to ensure timely service and high-quality dishes
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and storing ingredients properly
- Follow food safety protocols and handling procedures to uphold health standards
- Support menu planning efforts by preparing ingredients and assisting with special dietary requests
- Handle food with care, ensuring proper portioning and presentation for each dish
- Aid in catering events or large-scale meal preparations as needed
- Serve as a team player by supporting front-of-house staff during busy service periods when necessary
Experience
- Previous dietary department or dietary aide experience is highly desirable
- Experience working in fine dining or upscale restaurant environments is a plus
- Strong food handling, preparation, and cooking skills, including knife skills and meal assembly
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper sanitation practices
- Familiarity with menu planning, catering, and food service operations
- Hands-on kitchen experience within the food industry or culinary settings preferred
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
