Job Overview
We are looking for local CDL A drivers with experience operating dump trucks and leads.
Must have a good driving record, be willing to show up on time, and possess good communication skils. Must be able to operate a manual transmission!!!
Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers, flatbeds, and dump trucks, following all DOT (Department of Transportation) and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations
- Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure efficient delivery schedules across local routes.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks, trailers, and cargo to identify safety issues or damages before departure and upon return
- Deliver freight accurately to designated locations, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to delivery schedules
- Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery records in accordance with DOT regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and foremen to coordinate deliveries, resolve issues promptly, and provide excellent customer service
Experience
- Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record; experience operating manual transmission trucks preferred
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving within local areas or regional routes
- Familiarity flatbed trucking, or specialty freight is highly desirable
- Ability to operate GPS navigation systems confidently for route planning and adjustments on the fly.

Pay: $26.24 - $31.60 per hour
