Peykar Rugs is a respected luxury rug and carpet company serving Long Island and the New York metropolitan area for over 50 years. We are seeking a dependable, organized, and hardworking Warehouse & Inventory Associate to join our team.
This position is critical to the success of our operations. The ideal candidate takes pride in keeping an organized warehouse, works well with others, and can be counted on to show up on time every day.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming merchandise
- Organize and maintain warehouse and showroom inventory
- Prepare rugs and carpet materials for installation crews
- Load and unload delivery vehicles
- Assist with local deliveries when needed
- Keep warehouse and showroom clean, safe, and organized
- Track inventory and report discrepancies
- Assist sales and installation teams with operational needs
- Handle valuable rugs and flooring materials with care
Qualifications:
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to lift and move heavy merchandise
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Warehouse, inventory, delivery, or moving experience preferred
