Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to provide cradle-to-grave support for the service maintenance contracts of centrally managed diagnostic imaging equipment and picture archiving communication systems (PACS) across all DHA sites. This role will involve a combination of technical expertise and administrative support, ensuring continuous quality monitoring and financial accountability of service maintenance contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive cradle-to-grave support for service maintenance contracts for centrally managed diagnostic imaging equipment and PACS across all DHA sites.
- Offer technical and administrative assistance to DHA sites to determine appropriate maintenance coverage and provide recommendations for maintenance service contracts.
- Conduct site surveys and needs assessments to evaluate and determine the maintenance needs of diagnostic imaging equipment and PACS.
- Monitor and assess the quality, quantity, and timeliness of all service maintenance contracts to ensure compliance with established standards.
- Prepare business cost analysis reports for adding equipment maintenance to any of the centrally managed service maintenance contracts.
- Interface with the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) and DHA finance teams, preparing necessary documentation to ensure proper financial tracking and reporting.
- Assist base-level BMETs (Biomedical Equipment Technicians) in accurately accounting for equipment service contract costs within DMLSS (Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support System).
- Maintain continuous oversight and accounting of service maintenance contract expenditures for the current fiscal year.
- Develop and prepare the budget for future year service maintenance contracts based on needs assessments and historical data.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience in managing service maintenance contracts for diagnostic imaging equipment or similar technical systems.
- Strong understanding of healthcare IT systems, particularly in diagnostic imaging and PACS.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with diverse teams, including DHA sites, Defense Logistics Agency, and finance departments.
- Experience with DMLSS or similar financial and asset management systems.
- Ability to perform needs assessments, cost analysis, and contract evaluations.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
