DAY PORTER JANITOR
Monday-Friday, No Holidays, 10am-2pm at a medical facility
$14-16/hour depending on experience
Must have reliable transportation. Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
DAY PORTER DUTIES
SCOPE - 10:00am – 2:00pm Monday thru Friday
The day porter shall work closely with the facility management team to maintain a clean, safe and healthy environment.
1. Performs follow-up cleaning of restrooms, cleaning, sanitizing and restocking per any customer preferred routine, staying flexible.
2. Performs prompt emergency cleaning of hazards, spills, vomit, etc. insuring health and safety.
3. Shall always wear appropriate personal protections items such as gloves, gowns, masks or eye coverings when cleaning or handling blood, body fluids or infectious materials.
4. Displays wet floor, caution and/ or restroom closed signs while performing any duties and until floors are completely dry.
5. Follows universal precaution when cleaning and disinfecting biohazard substance.
6. Performs prioritized general cleaning within the facility where needed or requested.
7. Regularly sanitizes frequent touch points such as hand rails, grab bars, door handles, push plates, etc. while working throughout common areas.
8. Shall use color coded microfiber cloths, mops and/or single point usage to eliminate cross contamination per company/customer policies and directives.
9. Stays flexible and cooperative promptly assisting facility management as needed or requested.
10. Shall always wear an approved uniform and maintain a clean and neat personal appearance without the use of cologne or perfume.
11. Shall be polite and brief when greeting others while avoiding idle conversation not pertaining to work.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
