Responsibilities

- Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive behavior management and supports children’s social-emotional well-being.
- Engage actively with children to support their individual needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services.
- Manage classroom routines and activities to ensure smooth daily operations while fostering independence and curiosity among students.
- Collaborate with families, specialists, and colleagues to develop tailored strategies for children’s growth and learning progress.
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods when appropriate to monitor developmental milestones and inform instruction.
- Maintain detailed records of student progress, behavior management strategies, and lesson plans in compliance with childcare standards and educational best practices.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of childhood development theories, early childhood education practices, and classroom management techniques.
- Experience working with children across various age groups, including toddlers and preschoolers.
- Familiarity with special education needs, early intervention programs, and behavior management strategies.
- Proficiency in curriculum development, lesson planning, literacy education, math instruction, and teaching physical education.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with parents, colleagues, and external specialists.
- Ability to create engaging learning experiences that incorporate Montessori principles or other educational philosophies.
