Housekeeping Supervisor
Location: La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Bozeman, Montana
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham is seeking an experienced, dependable, and service-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to lead the daily operations of the Housekeeping and Laundry Departments. The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for ensuring guest rooms, public areas, and hotel laundry are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and presentation. This position provides leadership, training, scheduling, quality control, and hands-on support to the housekeeping team while ensuring an exceptional guest experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise the daily operations of the housekeeping and laundry departments.
- Schedule, train, coach, and motivate housekeeping and laundry team members.
- Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and hotel facilities to ensure compliance with Wyndham brand standards and hotel cleanliness expectations.
- Ensure all guest rooms are cleaned, inspected, and available for guest arrivals in a timely manner.
- Oversee all laundry operations, including washing, drying, folding, sorting, organizing, and distributing linens, towels, bedding, uniforms, and other hotel textiles.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels of clean linens, towels, guest amenities, and housekeeping supplies.
- Monitor laundry equipment and housekeeping equipment to ensure proper operation and report maintenance needs promptly.
- Assist team members with room cleaning, laundry, and public area cleaning as needed to maintain operational efficiency.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and resolve housekeeping-related concerns.
- Coordinate with the Front Desk and Maintenance Departments regarding room status, maintenance issues, lost and found items, and special guest requests.
- Ensure compliance with all hotel safety procedures, OSHA regulations, and proper handling of cleaning chemicals and laundry products.
- Monitor employee productivity and quality standards through regular room inspections and performance evaluations.
- Maintain accurate housekeeping reports, room inspection records, laundry logs, inventory records, and lost and found documentation.
- Promote a positive work environment through effective communication, teamwork, accountability, and professional leadership.
- Perform other duties as assigned by hotel management.
Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of hotel housekeeping experience required.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience in hospitality preferred.
- Knowledge of hotel housekeeping procedures, laundry operations, and cleaning equipment.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with hotel property management systems are preferred.
- Ability to work independently while leading a team.
- Must be dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to excellent guest service.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and lift up to (occasionally) 35 pounds throughout an entire shift.
- Ability to push and pull housekeeping carts and laundry carts.
- Ability to safely operate housekeeping and laundry equipment.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules as required by hotel operations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
