Ocean State Montessori School is seeking a dedicated and nurturing Teacher Assistant to join our Primary Classroom team. The ideal candidate will support the Lead Teacher in fostering a Montessori environment that promotes independence, curiosity, and respect.
What You'll Do
- Assisting with classroom management and supervision
- Preparing and maintaining Montessori materials
- Supporting children’s daily routines and learning activities
- Promoting a safe and inclusive classroom culture
- Collaborating with staff and communicating with families
Qualifications
✔ Experience with young children (Preferred)
✔ Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Ed or related field (Preferred)
✔ Interest in or knowledge of Montessori philosophy
✔ CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
✔ Must meet all state licensing and background check requirements
✔ Team player with strong communication skills
