About the Role
A warm, private family in Billings is seeking a live-in Household Manager to keep their home running smoothly and beautifully. This is not a childcare role — the family has two young children, but the focus of this position is on the home itself: maintaining order, managing meals, overseeing laundry, and making sure the household is stocked and functioning at all times.
The ideal candidate is someone who takes genuine pride in a well-run home, moves proactively without needing direction, and is comfortable being a steady, trusted presence in a family's daily life.
The family also has a property in Big Sky. When the family travels there, you will accompany them to provide the same level of household support at that location.
Core Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day tidying and upkeep — picking up, vacuuming as needed, making beds (light maintenance, not deep cleaning)
- Meal preparation for the entire family
- Laundry for the entire household
- Monitoring and restocking household supplies and pantry items
- General household organization and ensuring common areas stay orderly
- Occasional errands and grocery runs
- Brief, comfortable child supervision when a parent needs to step away — typically one child at a time, for short periods only
A Note on Children: The family has two young children (ages 15 months and 4 months). While this is not a childcare position, comfort around children is important. From time to time, you may be asked to keep an eye on one child while a parent takes the other out — brief, low-key supervision rather than primary care. Candidates who enjoy being around young children will feel right at home.
Big Sky Property: The family has a second home in Big Sky, Montana. When the family is in residence there, you will travel with them to provide household support at that location — the same scope of duties, simply in a different setting. Travel and accommodation at Big Sky are fully covered. No international or extended vacation travel is required.

- Experienced in private household or estate management
- Exceptionally organized, proactive, and self-directed
- Confident in the kitchen — comfortable preparing varied, family-friendly meals
- Discreet, trustworthy, and respectful of family privacy
- Comfortable around children and three friendly dogs
- Calm, dependable, and a genuine team player
- Open to relocation to Billings (or already local)
Schedule:
- 50–60 hours per week
- Monday–Friday as a standard schedule
- Saturday availability is ideal but not required for the right candidate — the family is open to a half-day Saturday / half-day Monday arrangement
- Some flexibility appreciated based on family needs
- Off-duty time is fully respected and protected
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary $120-$40 an hour DOE

This is a live-in position. The family provides a fully private, attached guest house with a separate bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette, and living area — a genuine home of your own within the property. The only shared space is the laundry area. All utilities are included, and a vehicle is provided for both work and personal use.
The family is intentional about maintaining clear boundaries and ensuring your off-duty time is truly your own. This is a respectful, well-run household that values the people who help make it that way.
Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
