We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Breakfast Attendant to join our hospitality team! Duties
- Prepare and set up breakfast stations with fresh ingredients, ensuring all food items are presented attractively and ready for service
- Assist with food preparation, including slicing, plating, and portioning to meet quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness of all food prep areas, dining spaces, and kitchen equipment following strict food safety sanitizing procedures
- Operate kitchen appliances and equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, toasters, coffee machines, and warming trays
- Serve breakfast items to guests in person with friendly, attentive customer service
- Process cash transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems while providing receipts and change as needed
- Follow manual handling protocols when lifting or moving heavy food trays or supplies to prevent injury
- Monitor food safety standards continuously to ensure compliance with health regulations and proper food handling practices
- Restock supplies throughout the shift to ensure smooth service flow
- Assist in cleaning dining areas after service hours, including clearing tables and sanitizing surfaces
Experience
Candidates should possess prior experience in a food service environment—preferably within a restaurant or catering setting—and demonstrate a strong understanding of hospitality principles. Experience with fine dining or culinary environments is highly valued. Familiarity with food safety management practices, operating kitchen equipment, and processing cash transactions using POS systems is essential. Candidates should have excellent customer service skills, both in-person and over the phone, along with knowledge of dietary accommodations and food handling procedures. Previous roles involving catering or dietary aide work will be considered advantageous. A background in the food industry combined with a passion for hospitality will help you excel in this vibrant role. Basic math skills and knowledge of wine or beverage service are nice-to-have qualities that can enhance your contribution to our team.
