Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our growing primary care group. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in outpatient care, with experience in primary care, acute care, or emergency medicine. This role requires a compassionate individual who is committed to providing high-quality healthcare and improving patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses across the lifespan.
- Prescribe medications and therapies as appropriate.
- Perform routine procedures.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory tests and imaging studies.
- Educate patients and families about health conditions and preventive care.
- Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient management.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuous education.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and healthcare teams.
- Manage acute pain and provide care in critical situations, including triage in emergency settings.
- Knowledge of EMR systems and experience with eClinicalWorks is a plus.
Preferred experiences include:
- Experience in family medicine or primary care settings.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies or related field.
- Current and valid Physician Assistant certification (PA-C).
- Active Florida licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge base in family medicine.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience working in Outpatient services.
