Responsibilities
Site Operations: Oversee daily structural framing erection, task sequencing, and collaboration with prime contractors.
Regional Logistics: Supervise multiple field projects and mobile crews requiring 50% regional travel in Southeast.
Safety Leadership: Drive field safety compliance, lead toolbox talks, and manage high-risk rigging, hoisting, and fall-prevention protocols.
Technical Problem-Solving: Evaluate blueprints and structural plans to resolve field conflicts alongside project management.
Resource Allocation: Schedule labor, machinery, and crane assets while tracking team output against estimated project budgets.
Quality Assurance: Audit all field welding, connection fastening, plumbing, and structural alignment to ensure strict code compliance.
Team Development: Guide site foremen, assist with field hiring, and manage ongoing crew performance and training.
Field Reporting: Complete daily project logs and represent the firm during stakeholder and client site walkthroughs.
Qualifications:
10+ years of structural steel erection experience, with 5+ years in a superintendent or senior field leadership role.
Deep knowledge of steel erection methods, heavy rigging, crane operations, and OSHA Subpart R regulations.
Proven ability to manage multiple field crews and regional construction projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex structural and erection drawings.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel up to 50% across the Southeast.
