Job Description:
Yard Jockey position is to assist in moving and spotting of equipment required to facilitate the needs of the warehouse in organizing & processing products for shipping and/or storage. The Yard Jockey’s responsibilities include but are not limited to, trailer preparedness, conducting daily equipment inspections, daily yard/facility inspections, moving trailers in & out of dock doors for loading and unloading, staging equipment for easy access and accountability.
Schedule:
- First Shift: Sunday – Thursday 07:00 –15:30
- Second Shift: Monday - Friday 15:00 – 23:30
- Third Shift: Sunday – Thursday 23:00 – 07:30
- Morning Relief: Tuesday – Thurs 04:00 – 12:30 and Fri – Sat 07:00 – 19:00
- Night Relief: Monday – Thursday 16:00 – 02:30
All Enter $24.00 per hour, OT after 40 hours per week (paid time and a half)
At 12 months of employment (none enter) $25.00 per hour, OT after 40 hours per week (paid time and a half)
Average Weekly Pay$960 during the first year
$1,000 after the first year
Average Annual Pay$49,920 for the first year
$52,000 after the first year
Job Requirements:
Requires 1 year of recent CDL-A experience, an acceptable MVR and background reports as well as a Hazmat endorsement. Yard spotter experience preferred but not required for the right candidate. Must reside within 30 miles of Lakeland, FL.
Wage Range: 49920.00 - 52000.00 per year
