What You’ll Do:
As a Lucky Hare/Night Train bartender, your mission is to create memorable guest experiences through exceptional service, responsible alcohol handling, and consistent drink execution. You’ll set the tone for the guest experience—whether it’s a quiet evening or a busy Saturday night—and you’ll be supported by a team that values professionalism and pride in the details.
Key Responsibilities:
Opening Duties
- Arrive early to ensure the bar is fully stocked, clean, and guest-ready
- Verify all wines, beers, spirits, and mixers meet par levels
- Test all bar systems (POS, taps, card readers) for smooth operation
- Polish glassware, clean surfaces, and prepare the bar for service
During Service
- Greet guests warmly within one minute of arrival
- Serve drinks promptly (within 3 minutes), with proper garnishes and glassware
- Upsell premium options and guide guests through cocktail, wine, and beer selections
- Monitor guest safety with ID checks and responsible alcohol service
- Handle payments accurately and always thank guests with a sincere send-off
Closing Duties
- Clean and restock the bar for the next shift
- Polish and store glassware, wipe down equipment, sweep and sanitize
- Check keg levels and prep replacements
- Run end-of-day reports
Weekly Responsibilities
- Deep-clean bar wells, ice bins, mats, and shelving
- Organize inventory and restock for the next week
- Sanitize coffee equipment and maintain top-tier cleanliness standards
Qualifications:
- 1+ year bartending experience in a fast-paced, cocktail-forward environment
- Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, beer, and wine
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills
- TIPS or ServSafe Alcohol Certification preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
