Position: Ice Cream Shop Lead
Overview:
Nelson Produce Farm is seeking an experienced and passionate Ice Cream Shop Lead to help lead our brand new Ice Cream Shop. As an Ice Cream Shop Lead you will play a pivotal role in creating exceptional experiences for our guests in several ways - mainly by serving amazing ice cream and providing excellent customer service. As part of your staff lead responsibilities, you assist with the hiring and training of new employees and ensure compliance with food safety regulations. You will also place food and beverage orders, working with staff to reduce food waste.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Arranging and storing food supplies appropriately;
- Following manufacturing SOPs and ice cream recipes to the letter;
- Cleaning and sanitizing all food preparation areas in accordance with recognized hygiene requirements; and
- Assisting with the delivery and unloading of food stocks.
- Assigning tasks that would help the business accomplish its goals and objectives;
- Tracking and managing budget and inventory;
- Monitoring and enforcing all food safety requirements
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Passion for local, seasonal, and organic ingredients.
- Strong culinary skills and creativity.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Passion for ice cream
- Experience helping in kitchens
- Food Handler’s License
- Understanding of food health and safety standards
- Working ability in a fast-paced setting
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
