The School Gourmet is hiring Food Packaging & Production Associates to join our growing Central Kitchen in Conyers, Georgia. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment, pay close attention to detail, and enjoy working as part of a team.
As one of Georgia's growing school nutrition providers, we're currently hiring 20+ positions across the company, with additional opportunities opening throughout the Atlanta area.
What You'll Do
- Portion and package meals according to production specifications
- Label, seal, and prepare food items for delivery to schools
- Assemble meal trays and meal components accurately and efficiently
- Verify portion sizes and product quality to ensure consistency
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and company quality standards
- Assist with staging, palletizing, and preparing orders for delivery
- Support the production team to meet daily deadlines
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food production, packaging, warehouse, manufacturing, school nutrition, or commercial food service is preferred
- ServSafe Certification is preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40–50 lbs.
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
