Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Kitchen Manager to lead our cook team and oversee daily kitchen operations. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional food quality, maintaining efficient workflow, and fostering a positive environment for staff and guests alike. Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure high standards of quality and consistency
- Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste through effective food management practices
- Supervise and train kitchen staff on food safety protocols, food handling procedures, and proper use of equipment such as Square pos.
- Coordinate shift management to ensure smooth service flow during busy hours while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction
- Implement food production standards for various service styles including casual dining, quick service, catering, and banquet events
- Enforce compliance with health and safety regulations related to food safety and sanitation practices
- Lead staff recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, and ongoing training & development to build a motivated and skilled team
- Uphold and mirror company policies and procedures. Hold employees accountable for those same policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in restaurant management with a strong background in kitchen operations and food service management
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and culinary standards across diverse dining environments
- Hands-on experience with POS systems such as Square for order processing and cash handling
- Demonstrated supervisory skills with a history of managing teams in fast-paced hospitality settings
- Familiarity with inventory control, budgeting, and cost management within the food industry
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest inquiries professionally
- Strong leadership qualities with experience in staff training & development and team management
- Previous experience in casual dining, fine dining, hotel kitchens or catering is highly desirable and at least 2 years minimum as a kitchen manager is required.
