Job summary
The Screen Printing Lead is a FTE role with day shift hours (7-3), and is primarily responsible for driving consistent and efficient operation of the screen-printing department. This person works closely with the Screen Printing Lead and Factory Manager to ensure orders are completed in a timely manner according to the production schedule.
A successful Screen Printing Lead should be able to maximize time during a shift, assess and communicate problems that arise to their direct supervisor, and handle fluctuations in scheduling calmly and efficiently.
Essential functions:
- Operate automatic screen press printing machines, ensuring that machines are running at all possible times and that time of the whole operation (from setup through clean up time) is being managed efficiently
- Collaborate with Factory Manager and Operations Manager to set the production calendar, track progress, solve problems, and hit production targets
- Coordinate timelines with Factory Manager around screen design approval; provide reporting to management
- Oversee daily and weekly machine maintenance
- Complete work efficiently and accurately
- Assist others in your team as needed or requested by management
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures and abide by safety regulations
Competencies and qualifications:
- 1 year experience with screen printing is required
- Experience in a production environment is ideal
- Experience with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel is required
- Proficient with Photoshop, Illustrator
- Ability to perform color separations
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Self-starter with strong work ethic and the ability to work at a fast pace with high accuracy and minimal supervision
- Ability to communicate with other team members and management concerning problems and possible solutions
- Effective time management and organization
- Proficiency with English language
- Physical requirements: able to stand, walk, push, pull and lift/carry up to 50 lbs
