Position Overview: The Director of Integrations & Implementations will lead a team responsible for onboarding new customers, implementing clinical applications, managing healthcare data integrations, and ensuring seamless interoperability across the radiology technology ecosystem.
This leader will oversee both Integration Engineers and Implementation Engineers, driving operational excellence while developing scalable processes, documentation, onboarding programs, KPIs, and best practices across the organization. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of radiology workflows, healthcare interoperability standards, and clinical application ecosystems, with the ability to connect technical execution to business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:

Lead and mentor a team of Integration Engineers and Implementation Engineers.

Establish departmental goals, performance metrics, KPIs, and implementation standards.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on implementation quality, efficiency, customer satisfaction, and scalability.

Develop implementation methodologies, governance processes, onboarding materials, and operational playbooks.

Forecast resource requirements and implementation capacity to support company growth.

Define and execute the enterprise integration strategy for HL7 and DICOM platforms, including modernization, cloud alignment, and performance optimization, ensuring scalable and resilient interoperability across PACS, RIS, and ancillary systems.

Partner with executive leadership on strategic technology initiatives and expansion efforts.
Integration & Implementation Management:

Oversee customer onboarding and deployment of clinical applications across hospitals, imaging centers, physician practices, and health systems.

Ensure successful implementation of radiology technology platforms and supporting clinical systems.

Manage application-level integrations across EMR/EHR, RIS, PACS, voice recognition, reporting, and ancillary systems.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external customers to define project scope, timelines, deliverables, and success criteria.

Monitor project progress and remove barriers to successful execution.
Healthcare Interoperability & Workflow Expertise:

Serve as a subject matter expert on healthcare integration workflows and interoperability standards.

Understand and optimize end-to-end radiology workflows, including:
- Order creation and transmission from EMR/EHR systems

HL7 messaging workflows
-
Integration engine processing
- RIS workflow management
-
PACS image management and distribution
-
DICOM data exchange
-
Voice recognition and reporting systems
-
Final report delivery and clinical communication
- Provide leadership in troubleshooting complex integration and workflow challenges.

Ensure successful exchange of clinical, imaging, and reporting data across customer environments.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Partner closely with Clinical Applications, Operations, Infrastructure, Security, and Customer Success teams.

Serve as an escalation point for complex customer implementations and integrations.

Collaborate with vendors, health systems, imaging centers, and physician groups to drive successful outcomes.

Support mergers, acquisitions, technology migrations, platform transitions, and enterprise-wide technology initiatives.
Qualifications:
Required:
-
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

8+ years of healthcare IT experience.
-
5+ years of leadership experience managing implementation, integration, interoperability, or healthcare technology teams.
-
Deep understanding of healthcare interoperability standards including HL7, FHIR, DICOM and DICOMWEB.
-
Experience with radiology workflows and clinical imaging environments.
-
Demonstrated expertise with healthcare technology ecosystems including:
- EMR/EHR platforms

RIS systems

PACS platforms
-
Voice recognition/reporting systems

Integration engines
- Experience managing enterprise software implementations and customer onboarding programs.

Strong project management, process improvement, and organizational leadership skills.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Preferred:

Experience within radiology practices, imaging organizations, health systems, academic medical centers, or healthcare technology vendors.

Experience leading large-scale customer implementations and integrations.

Knowledge of imaging workflow optimization and interoperability architecture.

Familiarity with PowerScribe, Epic, Cerner, Oracle Health, PACS platforms, and healthcare integration technologies.

Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, or large-scale organizational growth initiatives.

Lean, Six Sigma, PMP, or related process-improvement certifications.
