Retail Product Photographer & Stylist
We are a well-known local home decor brand seeking a creative, detail-oriented Retail Product Photographer & Stylist to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong eye for composition, styling, lighting, and brand storytelling who loves creating elevated imagery for retail, e-commerce, social media and marketing
About the Role
You’ll be responsible for styling and photographing a wide range of home decor products including candles, textiles, decorative and vintage objects, florals, seasonal collections and the like. You will also photograph several on-site events/workshops throughout the year, capturing both styled details and candid moments that reflect the brand experience.
The ideal candidate understands how to create visually compelling imagery that aligns with a refined, cohesive brand aesthetic that translates well to our e-commerce website and social media platforms.
This is a hands-on creative role working closely with our Operations Manager, Shop assistant and owner to bring new collections and items to life.
Responsibilities
- Style and photograph products for e-commerce, social media, email marketing, advertising, and wholesale catalogs
- Create clean and styled product imagery
- Photograph several on-site events throughout the year, including launches, workshops, and seasonal gatherings
- Maintain consistent brand aesthetics across all photography
- Manage lighting, composition, props, backdrops, and styling of images
- Edit and retouch images for web and print use
- Organize and maintain photo files and digital assets in shared albums
- Collaborate with the Operations manager, Shop Assistant and owner on seasonal launches and campaigns
- Utilize in-store displays and props to create styled images
Qualifications
- Previous experience in product photography, retail photography, event photography, or visual styling
- Strong portfolio showcasing home décor, lifestyle, retail, product, or event photography
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Lightroom and Photoshop
- Strong understanding of lighting, composition, color balance, and visual storytelling
- Ability to style products with a clean, elevated aesthetic
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with e-commerce and event photography preferred

Position Details
- Part-time or freelance opportunity: Tuesday and/or Thursday 9am-4pm
- Located in Murrieta, California
