This role involves:
- Lead and manage the design and evaluation of fire protection systems
- Lead the design, specification, and multi-discipline coordination of the following fire protection systems: Fire alarm, smoke management, wet-pipe, dry-pipe, pre-action, deluge, and foam/water fire suppression system
- Develop fire protection engineering concepts, plans, and specifications, ensuring compliance with local and national codes and standards
- Quality review the fire alarm and fire protection calculations
- Working as a team on projects and managing employees
Requirements:
- Licensed Professional Engineer
- Minimum 7+ year of progressive experience in the Fire Life Safety/Fire Protection field
- Fire Protection Engineering or related degree from an ABET accredited program
- Strong working knowledge of applicable ICC and NFPA codes is required
- Knowledgeable in building codes, fire codes, NFPA standards, and military standards
- Ability to organize and handle multiple project assignments
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge in AutoCAD or Revit
