Husson University has an opening for an Instructor/ Science Lab Coordinator with experience working in a lab setting and teaching at the university level.
The Laboratory Coordinator component of this position includes responsibility for the daily operations of the labs, including Chemistry, Biology, and Anatomy & Physiology. Daily operations include maintaining and operating equipment, maintaining lab inventories, ordering equipment and supplies for the labs, and maintaining physical and written safety requirements of the labs. The Lab Coordinator is also responsible for preparing necessary lab materials for daily lab instruction.
The Lab Coordinator facilitates lab instruction by adjuncts and has supervisory responsibility over student lab assistants working in the science labs.
The faculty component of this position may include responsibilities for teaching and spearheading Husson’s on-campus programs, including Animal Care and Behavior. The department determines specific teaching assignments, but the teaching load is a minimum of three credit hours per semester.

The job may require the employee to stand for extended periods of time. The position has a significant laboratory component, with specified protocols for methods and safety. This position may require independent development of instrumentation methods and interaction with technical support teams from instrument suppliers.
