Position Summary
As an Entry-Level HVAC Maintenance Technician, you'll perform scheduled preventative maintenance on residential and light commercial heating and cooling systems. You'll inspect equipment for proper operation, identify developing issues before they become major repairs, and help customers keep their systems operating safely and efficiently.

Work Schedule
Monday-Friday 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Occasional overtime may be required during peak heating and cooling seasons.
Primary Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance on residential and light commercial HVAC systems

Inspect equipment for proper operation, safety, and energy efficiency

Clean indoor and outdoor coils, replace filters, and complete seasonal maintenance procedures

Identify worn or damaged components and communicate findings to the Service Manager

Accurately document maintenance visits using company software

Maintain a clean, organized company vehicle and work area

Deliver professional customer service on every service call

Follow all company safety policies and industry best practices

Continue developing technical skills through company training and manufacturer education
Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED
-
Valid driver's license with a clean, insurable driving record

Completion of an accredited HVAC trade school program

EPA Universal Certification
-
Minimum of 6 months of hands-on HVAC experience through employment, apprenticeship, internship, maintenance, or installation work

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Dependable with a strong work ethic and willingness to continue learning

Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and HVAC testing equipment
-
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, and varying weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications

One year of residential HVAC maintenance or installation experience

Experience servicing gas furnaces, air conditioners, and heat pumps

Familiarity with electrical troubleshooting and refrigeration fundamentals

Basic understanding of airflow, static pressure, and HVAC controls

Experience using digital service software or mobile work order applications

NATE Ready-to-Work Certification or additional HVAC certifications
