Position Overview:
The Front of House Manager is responsible for leading daily FOH operations, maintaining the highest standards of hospitality, and supporting the General Manager in driving performance and culture. This role requires a hands-on leader who is guest-focused, detail-oriented, and able to develop strong, high-performing teams.
The ideal candidate thrives in a high-volume, upscale casual environment, excels in service execution, and takes pride in coaching and mentoring staff to deliver memorable guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily FOH operations, ensuring smooth service and consistent guest satisfaction.
- Train, mentor, and motivate FOH team members to deliver hospitality-driven service.
- Support the GM in achieving sales goals, labor targets, and cost controls.
- Oversee floor presence during service, anticipating guest needs and addressing issues with professionalism and care.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef and BOH leadership to ensure seamless coordination between kitchen and FOH.
- Manage scheduling, reservations, and floor planning to maximize efficiency and guest experience.
- Maintain standards of cleanliness, style, and atmosphere aligned with brand values.
- Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and retention of FOH staff.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Represent Big-Dill Hospitality with energy, professionalism, and passion for service.
Ideal Candidate:
- 3–5 years of FOH management experience in upscale casual or fine dining, high-volume restaurants.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a team.
- Hands-on, guest-focused approach to service and hospitality.
- Knowledge of floor operations, scheduling, labor management, and guest relations systems.
- Experience in training staff on service standards, wine, cocktails, and hospitality best practices.
- Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills.
- High level of professionalism, organization, and attention to detail.
- Beverage program, wine knowledge, or craft cocktail experience a plus.
- Hospitality or related degree preferred, but not required.

Physical Demands:
- Ability to work in a standing position for 8–10 hours per day.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Ability to kneel, crouch, stoop, twist, reach, push, pull, and grasp throughout the shift.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in person and over the phone.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $75,000.00 per year
