Elite Skillz Sports & Fitness is looking for an Assistant Director to help lead our programs.
Are you experienced in childcare, summer camps, after school or youth programs and ready to step into a leadership role?
This role is perfect for candidates with experience as a:
- Camp Counselor Lead
- Childcare Supervisor
- Afterschool Program Leader
- Youth Sports Coach
- Daycare or Preschool Teacher
Under the direction of the Director, the Assistant Director will be responsible for supporting and leading daily operations, managing staff, and ensuring an exceptional, fun, and safe experience for all students and parents.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and support daily operations
- Ensure a safe, structured, and high-energy environment
- Manage student behavior using positive, proactive strategies
- Manage daily schedules, transitions, and check-in and pickup process
- Maintain a clean, organized, tour-ready facility at all times
- Assist with the inventory maintenance of supplies, equipment, and materials necessary to execute the program’s activities
- Lead by example and help uphold the Elite positive and professional team culture
- Assist the Director in planning and executing daily camp schedules and activities
- Supervise team, coach and providing guidance on classroom management, behavior management, and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for all participants.
- Ensure adherence to all safety standards by maintaining first aid readiness, managing emergency procedures, and supervising health protocols including childcare regulations.
- Facilitate communication between coaches, parents, and children to foster a welcoming atmosphere.
- Support by filling in for coach breaks, offering guidance and support for coaches when necessary.
- Assist in After School pick-up and field trip transportation
- Actively pursue opportunities for professional development by attending and participating in staff development.
To qualify for our AMAZING team, you MUST:
- Be 21 years or older
- Have at least 2 years experience working with children ages 4–12
- Have strong leadership and group management skills
- Have reliable transportation
- Be organized, detail-oriented, and dependable
- Be outgoing, energetic, and positive
- Be a strong communicator
- Be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Own a smartphone or computer for communication
Required Skills:
- At least 2 years experience in teaching, coaching, or managing kids programs
- Ability to organize and lead engaging lessons and activities
- Strong classroom/group management
- Proficient in: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Canva, Excel (tracking, schedules, organization)
- Ability to adapt and think quickly on your feet while remaining calm and positive
- Demonstrated ability to lead activities involving teaching, tutoring, sports coaching or theater arts with enthusiasm and professionalism.
- Certifications in first aid and CPR are required; additional certifications in special education or behavior management are a plus.
- Able to complete all licensing requirements as indicated by the state in which the school resides

Schedule & Availability Required:
Monday–Friday within 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
