The Mental Health Professional-Outpatient Therapist provides diagnostic assessments and ongoing outpatient psychotherapy to eligible Rice County residents with a specialization in children, youth and parents. They provide consultation for Social Services staff and offer recommendations for meeting the mental health needs of their clients. They serve as a community resource consulting with other Rice County departments, community partners, schools, and other organizations throughout the region.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
- Performs outpatient psychotherapy, diagnostic assessments and crisis interventions for community members struggling with emotional/mental health issues.

Completes and maintains required documentation including time reporting for internal purposes.

Participates on committees and completes outreach duties including public speaking and training (as assigned).

Attends training sessions, staff meetings, and community meetings.

Provides consultation to Social Services staff or other agencies on clinical issues.

Performs other duties as assigned.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
HIRING RANGE / UNION: $38.44 - $40.18 per hour / SS Unit - Grade 13
HOURS: Normal working hours are 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday - Friday, full-time hours equal 40 hours per week.
