American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with 2+ years of CVOR experience and Epic proficiency for a hospital Surgical Services position in Winchester, VA.

Hospital-based CVOR unit with 2 OR beds and a 1:1 patient ratio
-
Primary focus on complex cardiac cases with float responsibilities to the main OR for vascular and thoracic cases
-
Specialized equipment includes ECMO, IABP, Maze Ablation, and the DaVinci Robot
-
EMR: Epic (experience required)

Schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM, with rotating days off per week
-
On-call requirements include 6–13 on-call shifts within a 4-week period, which may include weekends and holidays

13-week contract

Minimum 2 years of CVOR Tech experience required

BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required; no certifications expiring within the first 30 days of the assignment

NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
-
VA state license required if applicable; candidates may work under a temporary VA license while the permanent license is pending

Epic EMR experience required

Hands-on experience with ECMO, IABP, and Maze Ablation equipment required

Proficiency scrubbing complex cardiac cases independently
-
Candidates must reside more than 65 miles from the facility to be eligible

US SSN required for consideration

No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Scrub proficiently and independently on complex cardiac surgical cases

Float to the main OR to support vascular and thoracic cases as needed
-
Ciel scrub color required; all other attire must comply with Valley Health dress code policy

Work experience as a CVOR Tech must be documented for consideration
