City of Fulton is seeking candidates for the position of Firefighter. Applications may be
obtained at City Hall or at the Fire Department and are due back by August 29, 2026.
Applicants must attend one of the physical fitness test events at Fulton Fire Department at
8am on August 8, August 15, or August 29. Successful applicants will be contacted for
interviews.
Requirements:
- Age 18 or older
- Valid driver’s license
- High school diploma or equivalent
- United States citizen
- In good physical and mental condition, to be later verified by a licensed physician of
the city’s choice
- Of good moral character as evidence by, among other things, a review of criminal
convictions and traffic violations
- Demonstrate the ability to pass the MSTAT physical fitness test required by
Mississippi State Fire Academy and Mississippi Fire Personnel Minimum Standards
and Certification Board
- WorkKeys test results due at interview
