JOB FUNCTION:
The Insurance Producer is responsible for building and maintaining a profitable book of business by developing strong client relationships and delivering tailored insurance solutions. This role supports Sanger & Altgelt’s long‑standing reputation for integrity and high‑touch service through effective prospecting, risk evaluation, and ongoing client stewardship.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Build and grow a book of business through relationship‑driven prospecting, networking, and community engagement aligned with Sanger & Altgelt’s reputation for long‑standing client partnerships.

Conduct thorough assessments of client exposures to recommend tailored insurance and risk‑management solutions.

Present, quote, and bind policies across personal and commercial lines in accordance with agency and carrier standards.

Maintain ongoing communication, oversee renewals, and ensure high‑touch service consistent with the agency’s client‑first culture.

Uphold all state licensing requirements, carrier guidelines, and Sanger & Altgelt’s ethical standards.

Maintain accurate records within agency systems, including CRM updates, activity logs, and client files.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Work Experience
-
2+ years of experience as an insurance producer, with a book of business $500k or greater
-
Demonstrated ability to build relationships and meet production expectations.
Preferred Experience (Optional)
-
Prior experience in commercial or personal lines insurance.

Familiarity with Texas markets and regional business communities.

Existing book of business or established referral network.

Bilingual abilities (Spanish preferred).
Supervisory Experience
Education/Skills
-
Active Texas insurance license required (Property & Casualty required; Life & Health a plus).

Strong communication, negotiation, and consultative selling skills.

Ability to build trust with clients and represent the Sanger & Altgelt brand professionally.

Proficiency with CRM platforms, carrier portals, and digital communication tools.

High ethical standards and commitment to exceptional client service.

Position Includes Driving

Yes. Local travel to meet clients, attend events, or conduct onsite assessments may be required.

Must maintain a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
