Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Food Runner to join our dynamic hospitality team! As a Food Runner, you will be the vital link between the kitchen and our guests, ensuring that food is delivered promptly, accurately, and with a smile. Your enthusiasm and commitment to exceptional guest service will help create memorable dining experiences. All positions are paid, including internships.
Duties
- Safely transport prepared food from the kitchen to guest tables using proper manual handling and safe lifting practices
- Ensure food presentation meets quality standards before delivery
- Assist with clearing tables, bussing dishes, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas
- Support the kitchen team by delivering food orders efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and guests to coordinate timely service
- Handle food safely by following food handling and safety protocols at all times
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace by assisting with general cleaning duties in dining and service areas
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments preferred but not required
- Strong communication skills and excellent customer service abilities
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks safely during busy shifts
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Familiarity with bussing, cleaning, and general restaurant operations preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
