Job Summary
We are looking for fun and flexible individuals who want to spend their word days in the bike shop spreading the joy of riding and making experienced riders more successful! In this dynamic role, you will assist customers in selecting the perfect bikes and accessories, while also learning to provide expert maintenance and repair services. Your mechanical skills and love for cycling will help ensure every bike leaves our shop in top condition, ready to ride. Responsibilities
- Contributing to a team atmosphere with the current team of technicians and sales associates
- Learning to build bicycles with attention to detail, safety, and Phat Tire standards
- Learning to assist with service writing for customers needing their mechanical repairs diagnosed
- Learning to sell the things our customers want and need for their cycling interests and challenges
- Holding impeccable standards for hospitality with the people who shop in our stores
- Working with the team to create SOPs and standards that keep our shop bending to the interests of the riding community
- Finding new ways to connect more people to riding bikes in Oklahoma City and helping create fun opportunities to ride with them!
- Creating experiences (events, clinics, rides, etc.) that make bicycle-curious folks want to check it out and experienced cyclists proud to have us in the neighborhoodGreet customers warmly and assess their cycling needs to recommend suitable bikes, accessories, or apparel..
Experience
- Previous experience as a service technician or mechanic in a retail or bike shop setting is highly preferred, but we also have a lot of success with folks who became the go-to bike friend for solving bicycle problems
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and bicycle assembly techniques preferred
- Proven ability to deliver outstanding customer service in a retail environment.
- Knowledge of cycling products and enthusiasm for the sport enhances your ability to connect with customers.
- Ability to safely lift 50+ pounds
- Inventory control and merchandising experience will also put you at the top of our list!
Pay: $13.00 - $18.00 per hour
