Notes about job:
- We have 5 offices in our group but you will not be required to go to all of them. This job will be primarily between our Bellaire and Clear Lake Offices on a regular schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preliminary patient screenings, including measuring visual acuity, intraocular pressure, and refractions
- Assist ophthalmologists in performing diagnostic tests and procedures
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize equipment
- Document patient medical history and maintain accurate medical records
- Provide patient education on eye care and treatment plans
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an ophthalmic technician or in a related field preferred
- Knowledge of ophthalmic equipment and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
