Position Summary
Osprey Cove Golf Club is seeking a dependable, energetic, and customer-focused Golf Cart Attendant to join our team. As one of the first and last team members our members and guests interact with, the Golf Cart Attendant plays an important role in delivering an exceptional golf experience. This position is responsible for maintaining the golf cart fleet, providing outstanding member service, and ensuring the practice facilities and clubhouse grounds are presented to the highest standards.
Compensation
Pay with the opportunity to earn excellent Tips / gratuity from our generous membership. Many of our cart attendants significantly increase their hourly earnings through tips, making this a rewarding position for individuals who provide exceptional customer service and maintain a positive, professional attitude.
Essential Responsibilities
- Prepare, stage, and clean golf carts before and after each round.
- Wash, sanitize, and inspect carts to ensure they are in excellent operating condition.
- Assist members and guests with loading and unloading golf bags.
- Maintain the driving range by collecting, washing, and restocking range balls.
- Set up and maintain practice facilities throughout the day.
- Keep the cart barn, bag storage areas, and surrounding grounds clean and organized.
- Monitor cart fleet for mechanical issues and report maintenance needs promptly.
- Provide friendly, professional service while assisting members and guests.
- Follow all club policies and safety procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Golf Professional Staff.
Qualifications
- Positive attitude with excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds on a regular basis.
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and dependable.
- Golf course or hospitality experience is preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying golf bags.
- Ability to work in heat, humidity, and varying weather conditions.
- Must be able to safely operate golf carts and golf course equipment.
