The Facilities Services Custodial/Housekeeping employee is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout Warner University's campus facilities. Depending on qualifications and experience, this position may be filled as an entry-level employee receiving on-the-job training or as an experienced custodial/housekeeping professional.

Clean and sanitize residence halls, classrooms, offices, restrooms, common areas, and other University facilities.

Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, wax, and polish floors and other surfaces as appropriate.

Clean windows, lighting fixtures, walls, ceilings, furniture, and other building furnishings.

Empty trash and recycling receptacles and transport waste to designated disposal areas.

Restock restroom supplies and other custodial inventory as needed.

Inspect assigned areas for cleanliness, safety concerns, and maintenance needs, reporting issues to the appropriate supervisor.

Assist with setup, breakdown, and cleanup for University events and special projects as assigned.

Safely operate and maintain custodial equipment and ensure cleaning tools, supplies, and work areas remain clean and organized.

Follow all University safety policies and applicable cleaning, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.

Assist with other Facilities Services duties and special projects as assigned.

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Previous custodial, housekeeping, janitorial, or facilities experience is preferred but not required. Training will be provided for qualified entry-level candidates.

Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.

Strong attention to detail, dependability, and customer service skills.

Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and move equipment and supplies weighing up to 40 pounds.

Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, climb stairs, and perform other physical tasks throughout the workday.

Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license and be able to meet the University's Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) standards for authorized drivers.

Must maintain reliable transportation for travel between campus buildings as needed.

Must be able to receive and respond to work-related communications through a personal mobile device with reliable voice and internet service while performing assigned duties.

Ability to successfully complete a background check and any other pre-employment requirements established by the University.
The Facilities Services Custodial/Housekeeping employee is a member of the Facilities Services team and reports to the Director of Facilities.
Work schedule is determined based on departmental needs and may require occasional evenings, weekends, or support for special campus events.
