We are currently looking for a heavy equipment hauler for our Washington, MO office. This job will involve moving our rock drills to different job sites focused mainly in central/eastern Missouri. Most days will allow the driver to return home nightly, but being open to occasional multi-day trips is a plus.
Although no prior knowledge of operating rock drills is required, the driver will be expected to learn to operate them to the extent of being able to load and unload them from the trailer. Some degree of mechanical knowledge is also required to be able to help maintain the Company's trucks and trailers.
Being open to driving/operating pump trucks for our blasting crews is also a bonus.
Responsibilities:
- Loading, chaining, hauling, and unloading rock drills and equipment.
- Planning hauling routes with knowledge of weight limits and clearances.
- Understanding DOT regulations.
- Completing pre and post-trip inspections of vehicles, bills of lading, and other required paperwork.
- Performing general maintenance on the truck and carried equipment.
Requirements:
- Class A CDL
- Hazmat & Tanker endorsements (not required but helpful)
Please note this is a DOT-regulated position and will require the employee to follow all FMCSA, state, and local laws relating to commercial drivers such as pre-employment and random drug testing.
