Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to read and interpret schematics. This position involves working in a shop as well as on construction sites, where you will utilize various welding techniques and power tools to build and assemble metal structures. Duties
- Fabricate and weld metal components according to specifications and blueprints.
- Utilize various welding methods including FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) and Stick welding.
- Operate power tools and equipment such as plasma cutters, grinders, and drills.
- Read and interpret technical schematics to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Perform quality checks on completed work to ensure compliance with standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment on construction sites.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and specifications.
Experience
- Proven experience as a welder or fabricator in a construction or manufacturing setting.
- Proficiency in using micrometers for precise measurements.
- Familiarity with different welding techniques including FCAW, Stick welding, and plasma cutting.
- Ability to operate various power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong understanding of construction site safety protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
