Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize RESTful and SOAP web services to ensure reliable communication between distributed systems.
- Develop scalable APIs using modern frameworks such as ASP.NET, Node.js, or Java, adhering to best practices in software engineering.
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate APIs with UI components built on React, Angular, or similar technologies.
- Implement system design for new features, ensuring high performance and security standards across cloud infrastructure environments.
- Conduct unit testing and debugging of backend systems to maintain high-quality code and smooth functionality.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of API specifications using UML diagrams and other modeling tools.
- Participate actively in Agile software development cycles, contributing to sprint planning, code reviews, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Skills
- Proficiency in developing and maintaining RESTful APIs using ASP.NET <PERSON>, Java, Python, or Node.js.
- Strong experience with front-end development frameworks such as React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and AJAX for UI integration.
- Deep understanding of database design and management with relational databases like SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
- Knowledge of system design for scalable distributed systems utilizing microservices architecture and cloud infrastructure platforms.
- Familiarity with version control tools including GitHub, Git, SVN, TFS, and TFS for effective collaboration.
- Experience with software development methodologies like Agile or SDLC to ensure efficient project delivery.
- Ability to implement application design patterns such as MVC, WCF services, and service-oriented architecture (SOA).
- Skilled in debugging complex issues using Visual Studio or Eclipse environments; proficient in unit testing frameworks.
- Understanding of web services standards including XML, JSON, XSLT, SOAP protocols; experience with WCF is a plus.
- Knowledge of multithreading concepts and application development techniques for high-performance backend systems.
