Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Hair Stylist or a barber to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in cosmetology and/or barbering, with a flair for creativity and an eye for detail. This role involves providing exceptional hair styling services, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and delivering outstanding customer service to ensure client satisfaction.
Duties
- Perform a variety of hair services including cutting, Beard line ups and styling.
- Utilize the tools to achieve desired hairstyles.
- Apply knowledge of color theory to create custom color solutions for clients (Optional)
- Maintain sanitation standards in accordance with health regulations.
- Manage front desk operations including appointment scheduling using salon software such as MINDBODY or other.
- Provide excellent customer service by actively listening to client needs and offering professional advice.
- Engage in retail sales by upselling products that complement the services provided.
- Assist in store management tasks including inventory control and retail math calculations.
- Offer additional services.
Skills
- Proficient in hair cutting, styling techniques, beard trim and line ups.
- Familiarity with salon software systems is preferred.
- Experience with straight razor techniques is preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Knowledge of sanitation practices in a salon environment.
- Retail sales experience with a focus on upselling products.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Projected Total Compensation: $15.00 - $50.00 per hour
