Are you a nursing leader ready to make a meaningful impact in a critical care setting? A respected healthcare organization known for its compassionate, community-focused care is seeking an experienced ICU Nurse Manager to join their leadership team.
What you'll be doing:
- Partnering with the Director of Nursing to set unit goals, track progress, and serve as a liaison between nursing leadership and medical staff
- Developing staffing plans and schedules using utilization data to ensure appropriate coverage and staffing mix
- Reviewing vacation/holiday schedules, approving overtime, and arranging coverage for staff absences
- Selecting, hiring, and supervising unit staff — including performance evaluations, promotions, and disciplinary actions when needed
- Monitoring compliance with professional and regulatory standards to ensure safe, high-quality patient care
- Identifying staff training and development needs and helping design programs to strengthen clinical competency
- Leading team meetings and communications to support effective, patient-centered care delivery
- Reviewing admission, discharge, and patient management protocols to ensure regulatory compliance
- Overseeing quality assurance/quality improvement initiatives, including identifying issues and implementing follow-up actions
- Preparing utilization, credentialing, and scheduling reports required for regulatory compliance
- Supporting the Director of Nursing in annual budget development and monitoring budget performance
- Serving as a clinical and managerial resource for staff
What we're looking for:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing required (Master's preferred)
- Current NJ RN licensure
- 2+ years of supervisory experience
- 2+ years of critical care experience
- IV certification required
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
