Job Summary
We are hiring Class A CDL drivers with heavy haul experience, specifically in 8-axel flatbed and gravel train operations. We operate with a modern, well-maintained fleet of trucks. Year-round work may be available, subject to weather and project demand. No weekends. No holidays. Flexible leave time. Competitive pay rate based on experience.
Responsibilities
- Drive tractor-trailer combination to transport materials to and from specified destinations
- Prepare truck tickets for loads
- Maintain contact with supervisor and/or dispatcher to receive delivery instructions
- Load and unload materials while working cooperatively with other on-site employees
- Inspect truck equipment and supplies.
- Secure loads for transit.
Skills
- Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record.
- Chain, strap and to secure loads for transit.
- Connect / disconnect various trailers for a variety of truck configurations.
- Working knowledge of construction site safety, truck maintenance, and road safety regulations.
- Perform minor repairs such as replacing lights, tires and mudflaps
- Experience running/operating loaders is preferred.
