We have an immediate opening for an Aplication Specialist to join our growing team located in Sugar Land, Texas.
About the role:
- The Aplication Specialist role calls for the ability to provide customers with in-depth product knowledge and exceptional services, to help them formulate a purchase decision.
- The Aplication Specialist acts as a point of contact for the company to its customers for product information, sales proposals and customer sales orders.
- This role requires technical and electronic knowledge of process automation measurement instruments and systems. Experience in a fast-paced environment.
- The role requires excellent time management, interpersonal and organizational skills, and a high-energy, hands-on contributor to find solutions.
Responsibilities include the following, but not limited to:
- Work with domestic and international customers through question-and-answer process to determine solutions to meet their needs.
- Ensure the selection of the correct products or assist customers in making product selections, based on customers' needs, product specifications, company guidelines and procedures, and applicable regulations.
- Responsible for application review, development, and validation of proposals for OMNI products and services.
- Supporting order entry and shipping.
- Work collaboratively with the other company departments to coordinate and expedite critical, time sensitive customer orders and provide efficient and timely service to customers.
- Provide periodic reports to Management.
Candidate requirements:
- Associate degree (AA) with a Technical and Business focus; 5 (five) years related technical experience. Extensive experience in lieu of education can be considered.
- In-depth technical and electronic knowledge of process automation measurement instruments and communication systems.
- Experience in Customer Service or a related field is desired.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficient in verbal and written communication in English language. Proficiency in Spanish and other foreign languages is a plus.
- Able to apply concepts such as mathematics including arithmetic, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Proficient with Microsoft PC Office suite software.
- Knowledge of customer databases, or a CRM/ ERP follow-up system is desired.
